I've got a 99 Mountaineer V8.
When I shift to drive or reverse there is this sqeak.
Over the last few years I've replaced:
Upper and lower ball joints,
shocks,
ty rod ends,
Not sure if its the transmission or if the noise comes from the force of changing direction (stopping and starting)
Any ideas?

Sorry I don't have much to add other than it's a 15 year old truck so a squeaking sound can pretty much be expected..

I mean if it's a violent squeak or popping noise then i would be concerned, but otherwise no. At the same time i got my truck yesterday and don't know much about these yet, so maybe a explorer guru will have some better information to add.
