squeaky power window

I have a '93 Explorer XLT with a driver side power window that squeaks very bad when it goes down. Do I need to have the motor replaced or can I fix it myself? Thanks, LBPBNB

In 15 years, your felt may have worn off the rubber track. I would put some graphite in the rubber and re-grease the rollers in the metal tracks and try and get some gease on the regulator cables. If it still squeaks, sell it and go by a new one.

Welcome to this forum! Anything which moves needs lubrication. Take off the door panel to grease everything up. Wipe off the old grease which is probably contaminated with things stuck to it. It should work fine after this.
