Ok hope this helps.

Wal-Mart , Auto-Zone and HomeDepot all carry them.

They come in all different types ones that are like a screwdriver, ones that are bits that fit in a drill, ones that are sockets that fit in a 1/4 Ratchet.

You will need Size T-15 or T-20

Also here is a little link to help you.

Really? I'm not shooting you down mrBean, I haven't looked for the tool, but do wish to point out that this tool is different from the standard star bit used on things like trim and headlights and grilles. I have two sets of those. The MAS requires the bit be hollow centered. I thought it would be Ford only.

I took my outboard MAS screw out by grabbbing its head with needlenose. I drilled the inboard one enough to punch a flat screwdriver divot into the head. Before I put them back, I slotted both heads with a hacksaw.

It is worth a tool or some other way to open this frequently.

I think the official name is "Security Star" bit. Basically a torx bit with a hole drilled in the center. I bought one at AutoZone. However, the little piece on the screw will smash down or break off with a little persuasion from a regular torx bit if you happen to have one.

sink

Im not the only one who has purchased one from Auto Zone.

=)

But yes making it fit a Flat Head was a good idea =)

Re: sink

If it helps, I just purchased a "Torx Tamper Resistant Bit Set" from Napa. It has seven bits ranging from T-10 to T-40. They are made by the Lisle Corporation. I don't have an address but they're in Clarinda Iowa. I don't think it's a "stock" item, but this store just happened to have them. (Cost was about $18) They also had the 2 3/8 inch hex nut for the brakes too.

Got mine from NAPA too; just a torx bit with a hole in the middle. NAPA was the ONLY place that had it, not even the Ford dealer had one in stock. $2.15 for just the right size bit. No problems.

It is called a tamperproof torx, a set for a screwdriver will run you about 20$ most autopart stores will carry them, they also come in handy when you have to take the electric motor off of the T-case tom clean the contacts inside.
