My other half tried starting the car and said their was a loud clunky noise. My immediate thoughts were timing chain and told her not to drive it.
When i got home and cranked it over it was more of the clicking noise you get from a flat battery except 10x louder, which i found wierd as i just put a new battery in 2 weeks ago.
the car did start and ran fine so that ruled out timing also.
next on the list is starter motor?
i researched that the relay can go bad but sounds more mechanical noise.
Has any one had their starter fail and also has their flywheel had damaged teeth and needed you to replace both.
