Does anyone know where i can buy a Stealthbox online? i cant seem to find anywhere. Also, is the W0 the only sub (JL) that will fit in the box? What are the pros/cons of the MTX version? JL version? Thanks. (Im not new to audio, just new to the "stealthworld") Also, does anyone know which subs can/cannot fit in the Q-Logic stealth? Is the Q-logic as easy to install/as high quality as the others?

I bought my stealthbox on Ebay for $200 from a private seller. It came with the W0 woofer. A few months ago i added a mono amp for the sub and upgraded to a JL 10W3V2. I had to make a 1 3/4 inch spacer for it to fit because it was too deep for the box. I ended up trimming up the plastic that the mesh covering clips to because the sub stuck out too far. I put on a nice grill over it and it still looks pretty damn good.

do you have any pictures of how you spaced it and what it looks like finished?

Unfortunately I do not have pics. I'll try and borrow back my cam from my girlfriend when i see her tomorrow night. LOL Hopefully i'll have pics for you in a few days.

thanks.

I also bought my JL stealthbox from Ebay. The sub was blown I only paid $75 for it shipped. I bought a new W0 for $100 & was set. It sounds fine. You really need to tune it right. My old X had the qlogic box with a W0. It's really the same thing. The JL one is better built though. Bought a small amp & have it mounted behind the passanger side cover everything is hidden.

The JL stealthbox was designed to get the internal volume just perfect for the sub, if you want to swap in something like say a w3 the volume just isnt right not to mention celearance issues. if you did choose to switch i would try something closer in design to the W0 like the new W1 it is a shallow sub and it thumps.

If you can manage to find a JL Vantage it's butter than the Stealthbox. It's just a box. No sub in it at all. Same with the Q-Logic Custom box.

hey guys i know this isnt as stealth but it solves clearance issues.. well subs work backwards too if you flip the wires around and make the sub face inward towards the box and have the magnet facing toward the cargo area it works really well my friend put a alpine type r 10 in there... i like it better than my 2 alpine type r 12s in a normal box im thinking about rigging one up but i got a blown 12 to worry about now

Jl audio subs are not in any way shape or form to be sold online, the only stuff your gonna find is used stuff on e-bay. if a JL dealer were to sell their stuff online they would have their entire JL product line pulled. so check e-bay or check a dealer. And ericrad, to be honest with you the sub will sound better with the magnet in. having that reverse-dome cone helps. if you want it to be louder buy a ported box

oh i was not saying that it made it louder i was just saying if you want a bigger sub with a larger magnet that is a good way of doing it... also if you have a pioneer HU there is a way to tell the amp that the sub is switched and is in reverse...i was just saying instead of having to only use a cheaper sub you can get tha nicer sub in there without having to build a box or a adapter ring i guess youd call it.
