Took my '92 Explorer 2WD in for alignment, they found the steering shaft to have LOTS of play where it exits the housing and the coupling to be torn. I can find sources for the coupling, but nothing on the housing bushing. Are they available and what does one have to do to replace them? It is a manual shift, not automatic. L. O. G.

I have the whole column from my 93 that I scrapped in 2006. I don't know about the bushing, I thought this might be about the shifting mechanism, which is prone to wearing out and cracking.

Good luck with that, if you need something of the used parts, mine had 112,600 miles on it. Regards,

Checked there, couldn't find what I need. Going to try LMC next.
