steering problem

i have a 1997 explorer sport 4wd

when turning i can feel clicking in the steering wheel

i happens more a slower speeds and when turning onto a hill

Clicking in the wheel.. I would check the joints in the steering shafts. If you notice any significant play I would replace the offending joints or shafts. Another thing to do is to check the condition of the rack & pinion.. If its still original, it may need to be replaced.
 






does your horn and cruise control still work if not then it could be your clock spring
 






the cruise control works fine. the horn works i just have to push it really hard
