Steering Shaft extension dimensions.

I picked up a 3 inch lift from a newer 3/4 ton chev half ton (freebie) and the steering extension in the kit looks pretty handy to the right size, but I don't want to take it all apart and find out it doesn't fit..

Don't suppose anyone could take some some measurements of their extension for me and post them?

Andrew, I have a PA 3" BL still in the box. Here is an image and a scale with the measurements in mm.

Thanks Peter, that is a great picture.. If I could push my luck a little, would I be able to get a picture like that with the extension rotated 90 degrees clockwise laying flat, and then laying on it's side?

Custom shackles, custom coils springs, custom... Steering shaft..? I see were you going here..

Here is some more effort in the measurements then.
The whole piece is probably done from a round 1"x 2,5" long.

Where do you post your measurements of the custom shackle? I want to see a picture..

As for my shackles, I haven't done my final revision of the set.. What I did for a temp thing to see if it was going to give me enough lift in the back, was weld extensions on the current shackles.. I used some 3/8 flatbar in 5 inch lengths.. (you may ask why I didn't make a complete new peice at the time... Quick answer is I had 4 x 5" (4" hole to hole)peices laying around from a chev half ton with holes already drilled, so, you get the idea.. LAZY! ) I also don't have an overall length yet, but I will post some pics when I get the final set made.. I will probably extend it another inch or inch.5 to get it level with the front..

Hello, anyone want to give away their war-153 to me?

Amac, what about extending the spring hanger also instead of extending only the shackle so much? Mine is really rusty so I will give it a thought later on...
Has anyone done that?

Uuuh... I see that you have put more hours in your rig compared to the build up of the garage.. Very nice indeed. Did you paint the fenderflares black or is it stock? About the shackle measument, It is ok without, I have the measurements of the WAR153 and will see how long I will make them when my rear leafs has settled down.

351Explorer, If you have the 3" BL installed.... and gives away your steering extension..? What do you have instead? Did you go without one? Just curiuos...

Amac, you will need some brackets to the bumper and the cooler aswell... I have the dimensions..

yeah i never put the extension in... i have been driving it like this since 03ish. i havent had any problems either...
