Weve got about 10"s today. I was in 2wd and came to stop, was gonna go left up a hill, so I engaged 4WD. as I was going up the hill, about 20-25 mph, then steering wheels shakes back and forth. I looked underneath and theres snow in the coils and pretty much completely covered in snow. Could it be that the snow is inbetween my steering system, causing it to vibrate? It still did it when i took it out of 4WD. Any ideas?

Did the wheel fully turn lock to lock without any problems or did you feel roughness? Could be that something happened in your power steering system?

Its a truck, its suposed to vibrate!!!

Check if the weights are still on the rims.

This happened to me two weeks ago. I tested the 4WD in the snow for 1/2 hour then took the highway home. Well once i got onto the highway the steering wheel started shaking like crazy and the whole truck started to shake. I got off the highway to look under the front end and a bunch of snow was jammed on the inner rims and CV joint. All i did was power wash all of it away and i'm back to normal now. I don't know if your having the exact same problem but i hope this helps anyways.

To let you all know, the snow melted, and its back to normal.
Now if only my brake pad would float around inside the caliper.
