Sticky Throttle

On my 91 explorer my throttle hits a certain point and it likes to stick, it sticks at about 1750 rpm. Should i just lube the cables or does any other explorer veterans have a better adea because im just a rookie, thanks a bunch
 






You're on the right track, it's most likely either the cable or the throttle body sticking.
 






DEFINATELY needs cleaning. Take the intake tube off the throttle body and open the throttle. You'll see a lot of black gunk in there most likely. I just cleaned mine and it made a huge difference.
