In casual conversation, I've talked with a bunch of people who, as their explorers age, the ride tends to become much harsher. The problem I suspect, is also confined to the V8 models. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I replaced all 4 shocks @ 2 yrs ago. There was perhaps a 10% improvement when I did this. As the shocks have aged, I'm now back where I was. Tire pres is set at the spec listed on the door.

put the tires to 35 psi......the truck does have a harsh ride it is a truck.....

That was my point. For the first 3 or 4 years it ran like a dream....it then became stiff as a brick later. I mean a moderate size pothole is a bone-jarring and uncomfortable experience. Beyond what I would consider normal. Many others have observed this problem and had no luck in solving it........do I need to replace A-arm bushings?, Springs worn out? Some other obscure suspension piece worn out?

Lower your tire pressure

I run 32 in the back and 30 psi up front. I've tried lower and higher amounts but found those to be the best on 235-75-15 Michelins.
