can you flatten out the out edge of the upper a-arm creatively with a die grinder? How much room is needed ?

I think the 285 is only 3/8" wider then the 265

just get spacers and you will be fine they are 8$ or so a piece.

I'm with mounty71, $8 spacers and you will be asking for issues. Just pick up a set of billet aluminum hub-centric wheel spaces that will solve your issue.1.5 inch spacers are the easiest to go with

 MY BTF SPACERS ARE INSTALLED

Spacers were 2.25 Front and 1.75 Rear. I gained 3.5" of clearance under the front crossmember and 2.75" in the rear. This was re-using the stock springs.

Install time: 17 hours. With between 1 and 3 people working on the truck. Part of this time was due to a broken spring compressor  and then someone forgot the bumpstops in the front struts

I will supply pics and a write-up later this week, kinda swamped at that work place...

In general, everything went smoothly. This is a fantastic product :biggthump

Our trucks are simply not very conducive to non-oem suspension geometry. Getting the front struts back in is a MAJOR pain. And our front springs are serious business if you are replacing the struts, like whoa man.

sounds good! so hows it ride?

why did you pull the springs apart or did you replace shocks while it was all down?

I replaced the struts with Rancho RSX series. My shocks had 110k on them. The ride is much, much improved.

Well got my spacers today thanks to the USPS doing a great job as always and great communication with BTF. I should have them installed after work tomorrow with pics posted. Brandon really did a FABtastic job!!!!:thumbsup::salute:

Are the spacers painted, powdered or 'naked' ?

they are naked but when you see them you would hate to coat them cause they look awsome. I think I may P.O.R them just because how good the coat is.

How do I go about ordering a set?

So, aside from the looks, whats the difference between these and RB???

Personally I would prefer them to be powder coated, it blends nicely with the lifted look. However, the consumer can go have a shop powder coat them in whatever color of their choosing.

The BTF spacers are very clean looking, a great design.

RB spacers have a complete bead weld around the circumference mating joints.

I'm happy to see someone else stepping up to the plate here and making these, there's obviously too much of a demand for one guy to fulfill between his full time job and family....BTF is a company that does this full time for a living, so their turn around time for order fulfillment is faster.

Thumbs up to Brandon.
