Stock amp question.

Do all Explorers have a factory amp? I have a 99 Sport with the basic AM/FM/Cassette unit. Do I have a factory amp I need to bypass, or is it a powered HU? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you don't have an amp. Only Premium and Audiophile system have an amp either integrated with the HU (98+) or mounted separately (95-97).

Your 99 does not have an external amp.
