stock intake?!?

well im just learning about my explorer, because i just got it a month ago, and we bought it from someone with 114,000 miles, and it runs fine, but i was wondering if anyone knows what color the stock air filter is, because i want to know if the previous owner put a new one on..thanks

mine is yellow i think, read the lining of it, i think it says ford on it somewhere

after 7 years i really hope he changed it. if not, it's either sucking in a lot of dirt, or struggling to run.

just go to kragen and buy a new one for $10 or get a k&n for $50

it will have been replaced, if it says motorcraft, it was serviced a ford dealership (likely), you can get a fram one for like $6

If you don't want to modify your intake you can also get a KN drop-in replacement for about $30; much better than a paper filter.
