stock ride height

This has been bothering me for a while...

Do all 91-94 Explorer Sports ride higher stock than 91-94 4 door models stock?

I ask this because my 94 Sport can sit next to a 91-94 Explorer XLT/EB and my truck sits about 3/4" to 1" higher. I need to know the true facts about the difference from the factory...are they the same springs, only the heavier weight of a 4-door is pushing them down? Wt diff doesn't seem to me to be enough to do that.

All I know is, I have parked my Sport next to tens of 4-door Explorers and my truck ALWAYS stands about 1" higher (with equal size tires, of course).

Yes, the added weight of the 4-door does make it sit a bit lower than Sports.

my 4door when it had stocl flintstones on always sat an inch higher than all the other 4 doors at all the malls and stuff....maybe just a slight manufacturing difference. like some Xs can only fit 31/10.5/15 w/o rubbing but some Xs only 30s

Somehow, though, I wonder if it's just weight that makes the 4-doors sit lower...

Anyone know for a fact whether or not Ford did anything differently?
