I want to get some real bright lights for my 2000 Ex Limited. I LOVE the fog lights. But i think they could be a little brighter. I mean, i dont want them to be spot lights, ok, so i do, but not really. I was driving out in the middle of bum fu** egypt last night. And i wanted to be able to see. I had my fog lights and my low beams on and it was pretty good. But i wouldnt mind it being a little bit brighter.

I have some blue lights in my Monte Carlo. They are ok, but i think i am going to take them back. It was more than 60 clams for high's and lows.

Thanks for any suggestions.

From my personal experience (same headlight housing as you) I have used the stock bulbs and the Sylvania Silverstars. The Silverstars emit a whiter, cleaner light than stock. However, when on the road the more yellow colored stock lights appear to actually light the road better than the Silverstars. I have just recently found this out. And all this time I beleived the silverstars to be better because they looked better

Another option you have is to upgrade your current wiring and install higher wattage bulbs. This is probably your best bet for the most cost-effective light performance.

The last option is to go with a HID conversion kit. These kits run $300-700 and emit a mich brighter, whiter light than stock. I'm still skeptical though because most are not DOT approved and I don't think the increase would be as dramatic as expensive import cars. Not to mention the type of lense we have is not designed to accomodate HID's.

Good luck with it.
