the brake light on the dash came on a few weeks ago (not the abs, the red one below the tach) and while my oil was being changed i told them to check it. They told me it was the bulb for the 3rd brake light and replaced it. the 3rd brakelight works now but the light on the dash still comes on. the strange part is that it doesnt come on when braking slowly, it only comes on when braking fast enough to make the car lean forward. the brakes work fine and my dad thinks it might be water in the electrical system. thanks for all of your help.

does it do it every single time u brake hard? or is it an intermitant thing?

i guess it could be water..but it might also be a losse wire...

its not an intermitant thing it seems like once the car leans forward enough it comes on but it turns off when it gets level

CHECK THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN THE BRAKE RESEVOIR ON TOP OF THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER (under the hood)
That light comes on if:

You depress the parking brake pedal
Your brake fluid is low

jiffylube checked all of my fluids but i looked at it anyway and its about 2 thirds full

Double check the brake fluid level.
Jiffy Lube doesn exactally hire the most observant folk.
I will almost guarnte 410 is correct and your fluid is low.
Take a rag and clean the side to get a good look at the MIN MAX lines.

Every time that has happened to me is when the fluid is 3/4 or lower....

thanks ill add some when i get a chance and see if that helps
