strange coolant leak

95 4.0 ohv has a leak from behind where the water pump mounts.(the pump bolts on to this, then this bolts to the motor).any guess on what is call before i rip it apart i would like to be able have the replacement parts i need on hand.thanks

That would be the water pump housing and it sounds like you prung a leak. Did you overheat the engine or is it running hotter? Maybe the seal just went bad. Just make sure the pump is still working so you dont overheat your engine.

it leaks off and on over the last 150 miles i added maybe a 1qt of coolant.dosent run any hotter at all.i just had no clue what gasket i was going to need or what to call it
