Strange Noises...

Hey guys,

I've been having some really weird rattling noises coming from under my car. I'm guessing it's the heat shields making all the racket but im not 100%. It only makes noise when it's at 1500 rpm's and only when it's in drive. Any ideas as to what this could be? (hopefully nothing too serious)

Get up underneath the truck and hit the exhaust with your fist and listen for any rattling.

Also check the exhaust joint after the cats- my joints keep getting loose and I suspect my engine mounts are loose or need replacing, as it does rock when rev it....Hmmm yet another job!!!

Get a friend( Some one who likes you would be better) have them hold the car in drive at 1500. Take a several foot long piece of 3/4 heater hose, hold one end up to your ear, use the other end to locate the sound. Works well at pin-pointing noises. Good luck.
