As the title says, I have successfully installed a 94+ Ranger Street Scene Cal-Vue mirror on the drivers side of my X.

It took a bit of work, and a bit of genius to get it to go on...but I got it.

Drivers Side done...

Passenger Side will be done after I cool-off a bit...

In this pic you can see my wrapped thumb from my attempt to remove it last week...LOL

Well, it goes to show that it CAN be done.....

And here is both sides done...

Yeah us whashington-tonyins are pritty Bas-A$$

This is a modification of the 91-94 Explorer. So I put it in the Modified Section.

There was no 'body work' or 'detailing' involved in this mod....so why did it get moved here?

This forum is getting a bit too broken up, and not enough clarity on EXACTLY what is supposed to go where....I'm not a n00b, to THIS forum or to Forums/BBS's in general. I know what pisses the mods off, and what to do to make life go along much better....

Moving it to the 'Street Truck' Forum would have been okay with me, but to move it to a forum that is not labeled according to what work was done.

I understand that I am a 'street' guy, and definitly in the minority on this site...but I think the way the guys on http://www.corral.net have it VERY broken down as to what can be found where, and where to post it. They make it pretty clear what is supposed to go where.....and what NOT to post.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I wasnt the one that moved this thread but I can see how this can be considered as "Body Work" -- I mean it isss part of the body ;). I can see your point though -- its not cutting and welding sheet metal but the devil is in the details ;)

I KINDA understand too....but I thought it was more appropriate to leave it in the Modified Section....

Either way, it will be found by the person that actually uses the 'search' button years from now.....

IZwack....btw, they quit using 'periods' in state abbreviations a while back... 'IL Senator-D' will fit in there, I think......LOL

what do you mean by that ?

What extra labor was involved ?

MONMIX....you of all people should know that NOTHING is as simple as it looks.

It was a good 7 hours from start to finish....JUST TO INSTALL MIRRORS!

It required cutting apart the old mirrors (The Ranger Mirror Base is smaller than the Explorer base) drilling new holes (Rangers have a different bolt pattern) Cutting the holes on the interior side to allow access with a nut driver...

If it were a simple bolt-on, I wouldn't have been one of the first ones to do it....
