Stuck In 4 Low

Hello, we have 2002 Ford Explorer that recently got stuck in 4 low. We tried replacing the TCCM but that did nothing to help.... Please share any insight...

Had the same thing happen to my sport; replacing the transfer case shift motor fixed it.; they are cheaper at a scrap yard.

You are trying to come out of low in neutral or park with your foot on the brake?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I’ve done sillier things. Tapping the motor while someone is trying to shift it might get it loose. Often they can be removed, cleaned and regreased. It can also be shifted with a wrench after the motor is removed.
