Heelllpp! My wifes 2002 XLT seems stuck in 4 wheel drive. The switch says its in "AUTO" mode, but when turning tight the wheels bump and hop so I know its in 4X4 mode. this seems to have happened after we had the rear bearings replaced, though the garage says theres nothing wrong.
Nevrmnd....
the ford dealer said the 4x4 module was bad and trying to engage on corners. He said he's never seen one go bad before, just my luck after the extended warranty ran out... $425 later it's as good as new.
