My truck is stuck in 4 low. The dial on the transfer case is poiting just above the 2h case marking. I just rebuilt the shift motor, but I didn't align the cover properly.

Now a bit of scary info, I see the arrow markings on the case, going clockwise. Now I have my brother helping me, I told him to try to manually shift the dial to 4h, and I asked him if he noticed the arrows and he said no, and told me he tried turning it from the 2h to the 4h, and couldn't get it, so he went the opposite way:mad: Now I think something inside the t-case must be messed up because of where the dial is pointing to and what gear the truck is in? What should I do?

Jack a front wheel off the ground and turn the shifting shaft on the t-case. The drivline may be bound up and not allowing movment. Grab the shaft with some pliers and turn it. Just give it some love, i'm sure nothing is messed up bad.

Gave that a shot, still, no go. All I am doing is shaving metal off the shaft. Tried with an adjustable wrench as well, it just gets to a certain point and it just won't turn anymore.

Put the motor back on and am quiting for tonight. I don't really know what to do now. I'm outta ideas and can't really find anything in a search that deals with the shaft not turning. I've been working on this since 7 this morning and I seem to be worse off now than when I started, I'm ready to give up on this thing completely.
