stuck in ruts, frame on ground

COME A LONG
If there is something to pull against use this method.

Put boards, logs whatever in front of the tires so once you do pull it forward or back a few it will climb up to clear frame, front and rear diffs/etc..

What are your tires at now? Fill them up. Possible to climb out of the ruts with the come along then drive out next to the deep ruts?

this is the first and last time i will ever need help to get out in the ex.

So you get stuck once and decide to never get where you might get stuck again?

That's a shame, you'll miss out on a lot of fun. Try joining us on a group run with a lot of other Explorer owners sometime; if you get in this situation again it won't be a big deal at all, and you'll meet a lot of great people while it's happening :) .

on a side note i think i lost the limited slip in the rear, and i have bald tires :D
PS - next time, try to show up with tires that aren't bald before hitting mud, and you may not need to worry about any of this at all. :)

i am not saying i will not go out again, i am getting my eyes worked on next tuesday.

so i will be in poor again, then i need new school books really poor, then i will do a 3" bl, i have a guy that will sell me a set of 33's and crome rims w/ fake beam locks for $150 but i have to tow it too the junk yard.

then figure out if i can mount a winch to my frame mounted brushgruad?

so i am not saying i will not go out, i am saying i will be ready by haveing more then one 20 foot strap

Charlie, I applaude you for posting the pics. you knew you would get some goodhearted ribbing and you did it any way. Shows the metal that yur made of. Yes with good tires there would never had been a reason to post those pics. Next time it will be defferent with all the right stuff.

You are a mad man!

hahaha those pics are great, whats that mot accidents happen within 5 miles of home?
I had to leave my BII on a trial overnight once, took 5 hours with a come along and shovles to get her back on the trail the next day. Thats when I got hooked and it all began.

I just did that same trial a couple weeks ago, its a cake walk now :)

last set,

ps can a mod move this the the whoop section, PLEASE?

and the ruts are deeper then they look :D

If you just put it in 4x4, you shouldn't have any problems like that. :p :D

Good to see you got out Charlie. You truely be surprised at how much better your truck will be with new tires. A friend of mine with a J**p had some bald GY gsa's on his and there was one spot that he tried for about 20 minutes and could never do it. (I had to pull him out :D) Now that he's got some new tires in the same size (not quite as agressive as an A/T tire), he was able to get through that spot on the first try. So are you planning on putting the 33s on with only a 3" body lift? That's gonna most likely require a good amount of trimming.

I fibbed a little. I got the insurance bill today. It costs $2.20 for six months for the towing insurance now.

damn i got stuck in worse **** then that and i only have 2wd i got a picture around here soemwhere of digging myself in a rut deeper then my tire...and i got out thanks to a come along($50) best 50 bucks i spent i should find it and post it
