Stuck in the middle of poo

Hey guys, I have this 2002 explorer sport that I put into 4wd low yesterday to get it up on the ramps so I could weld a piece of the exhaust manifold, replace o2 sensors, etc. I had it up there for approx 36 hrs and when I took it down and attempted to disengage 4wd, it just shook. It moves REALLY slowly and shakes. I feel like it's stuck in between gears. 4wheel high, low, 2wd, nothing. I've tried backward, forewards, low gears, ALL of it. Is there a way to manually override the transfer case to get it into 2wd? Thanks in advance for any/all input.

Yes there is. Remove the shift motor on the transfer case and move the shaft manually. Check out the stickies at the top of the transmission and transfer case forum for help if you need it.

Thanks man! I'm reading the Haynes manual right now over a couple a cold ones and I'll try it in the am. That '66 is SICK man. Nice work!
