I really shouldn't even have to ask because honestly I feel like this should be common sense. However, my friend at work informed me that I should be more than capable of doing this and I strongly disagree. I live in a 2015 Jayco Jay Flight 33RLDS model travel trailer and I drive an 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLS. There is absolutely no way I would be able to pull my travel trailer is there? At least not with my truck, my trailer is 36 ft long and with everything inside it I think it weighs somewhere between 9,600-11,000 lbs. Knowing my truck only has a towing capacity of a maximum of 5,300 lbs.. iI feel like this should be a obvious answer but why not ask I suppose

NO
It might pull it for a few feet but it will never stop that beast.
You need larger then a 1/2 ton truck for a 33' Jayco, Like F250 or F350 forget about even trying to move that trailer with your Sport trac

Lol. Not a chance. I’d use it to possibly move it around a camp, but I’d never try it on the road.

How far do you need it moved? You might have luck posting on Craigslist. I’d just make sure all the insurance is in order.

Eventually I want to move back to my home state of Georgia, I live in North Carolina at the moment but that's a long ways to haul my home. That's why I'd never try it, and I don't have insurance on my rv either which needs to be fixed pronto I come into More money.

It's a 36 ft trailer vs a tiny truck lol. I love my Sport Trac but damn

The friend giving you that advice has nothing to lose...

Me personally wont pull anything heavier than my tow vehicle. But that's just me. I don't like that feeling of the load I'm pulling being in control. But that's just me.
