Welcome to the forum! Have had my 98 Explorer since March 2021. Has to be my favorite vehicle since the 70s Mopars I used to have.
New year's day started it up in 0 degree weather, waited 20 seconds and put it in reverse. Heard a bang, no reverse! Since then, have put a LOT of miles on it and it continues to do everything except go backward! When it finally quits, want to find another! Wouldn't mind seen what yours looks like, and best wishes to you!

Welcome! I’ve been driving same rig 30 years, keep that sucker on the road!!!

@Drewskeeno Welcome to EF! You've come to the right place. If information about your Explorer is to be had, this is the place you'll find it.

WOW that's incredible, driving with no reverse lol. Nice stuff and thanks for the well wishes. Here are some pics.

So far just did the priorities which was adding a radio and buffing all the sunburns on doors, found a good matching leather balm.

Going to premise here, I know nothing about cars.

Next projects:
-paint job
-Lift 3"
-new, bigger tires

Keep ya posted

Welcome to the site.

@Drewskeeno She's a pretty beast! Just needs a few small things, looks like you're pretty close to where you want to be already!
