OK here it goes, I am looking to put a super charger in my 2000 ford explorer 4X4, 4.0L V6 SOHC. Everything is stock (except the K&N filter everyone else has). I want something that is fairly simple to install w/ floor jacks and regular tools.Does anyone know of such a thing. I was looking at the Eaton M62 from www.explorerexpress.com but i was wondering if there was something better and if i could get it for cheaper. Thank you for your help.

i see you've been on this site for years.
i take it you searched the forum first and found the one from EE?
the one for the sohc from EE was just released in the past few months, after a lengthy emissions approval process.
currently it is the only one available.
i have only heard of one person who has installed one. he put up a few vids of him driving with it. i dont recall his user name, but you should be able to find others who have it by searching.
the kit is all-inclusive down to the zip ties.

i know this is the wrong category, but how much trouble was it to fit 6x9's? care to share how ya did it?

The EE has been on the market to out of Calif buyers for well over a year.
Is a complete turnkey kit, install time is about 8 hrs.
All that is not inc is a flasher or chip program to modify your PCM

Yah man the 6X9's were hard to do. I had to grind out part of the front doors and it was just trial and error, the hard part wasn't makeing the whole big enough that was easy, but to clear the window going up and down was the hardest part. I had to actual angle the speaker to make it fit because of the moving arms inside the door. I also had to take off a little piece of plasic from the inside of the door panel that was in the way. On the back doors there is no way that you are going to get a 6X9 in the back doors in the factory spot. But below the factory spot there is a place that it looks like ford was thinking about putting a speaker there,(when you take off the panel you will see what i am talking about. I just put the 6X9 down there that was really easy there is just a big whole that it fits really well in and then since there was no speaker cover at the bottom on the door for the sound to escape through I cut out where the carpet in the bottom of the door was and left a center column of plastic and the covered it back over with carpet from walmart it looks like stock. I know all of this is a little vague but if you have questions write me back basically the front was hard to get the windows to clear and the door panel to fit exactly right and the back 2 are easy except you have to modify the door panel(not hard)
