Hi Guys,

Long story, but basically paid someone to do it as I have no mechanical know how whatsoever!...they have messed me about and I am taking action, but this does leave me with a Superlift kit that I cant find anyone willing to fit - Explorers not very popular over here!

Do you think that someone who is hopeless at mechanics could do it with the instructions and some patience

i think that if you were very patient and careful you would be able to do it. Just make sure you have tools and jackstands and TAKE YOUR TIME to do it right. Of course if all else fails you could always sell the Superlift (I would buy it) and buy a 2inch body lift and do the TT/AAL/Shackle combo to get 4 inches of lift.

If you have a reasonably rust free chassis you shouldn't have much trouble installing the kit with basic tools. However if your chassis is rusted you may need torches and or an air chisel to remove rusted bolts.

That would be a hell of a shipping charge coming from the UK! :p

thanks, I think with the help of this super forum - I may well have a go!

good luck UK! Just be careful - do the rear last cause that'll be the easiest. Just make sure you grease up your bushings (i.e. Leaf Spring Eye Bushings, etc.). Little things like that can cause "squeeks" in a few miles. Good luck on it.
