What are you referring to in a body lift as unreliable? They have no moving parts - and as long as you extend the steering column the steering binding goes away...

On some vehicles, a body lift would cause problems like the bolts breaking off. I haven't heard of any problems with Explorer body lifts.

I've actually broke a bolt on the left rear. I was seriously flexed when you could hear it snap. Nothing happened but the bolt breakin, I didn't even feel it inside the rig just heard it. I haven't the slightest idea on the susp. lift for 2wd. sorry
