Man, you'll be leading the pack with those!
How many candlepower do all those add up to? :)

I like my Surco rack, but I had to put puny lights on it so it would fit in the garage!!!!

Jim

NO Idea how many candle power I have..
All 6 are the Hella 500 Driving Lamps. Rated at 55 watt.
All I know, don't get in front of them without Sun Screen...

Sweet Mike! Can you even go through fast food drive-thrus now? I bet you'll be clipping that "max height" bar with ease :D

Looks Good Mike. Where did you get your rack at? Do you have a link to their site?

I'll post the link tomorrow, I saw it on the side of the rack..As far as drive thru's go, I think I can make most..The CB whip hits them ALL, and certain bank windows are too narrow, tires rub..:)

Geez, i don't think i've heard that one before, tires rubbing at the bank, that's funny! Looks good. Looks like you covers are like mine, always look crooked! I don't know what's up with that! Looks good, i can only imagine the road in front of you with 4 up top, i've got 2 and it's plenty. How do you think you are going to wire all those up? I hope you find a good way, mine draw a lot of juice, i have some other stuff to, but man it's bad! Let me know when you wire that baby up! I like it!

Happy trails!!

Wiring was easy...I purchased a 24' trailer wiring kit, 6 ' of wire loom, zip ties, and connectors...I used the wiring that would normally be used to connect to the vehicle for the rack...Tehn, I removed the washer nozzle from above the window, inserted a rubber gromet, and fed the wires to through..Is gave me enough wire to follow the frame all the way to the engine compartment..For a ground, I used the front right trac screw..I but the 2 outsides on 1 swith and the insides on another. The 2 on the grill gruard are wired into my high beams..
Everything is neat and clean, I can make some pics of the wiring if you like. With this set-up, I can remove the rack and lights in about 5 minutes.
I would love to take credit for this wiring idea, but I read it on the board. Don't remember which member had done it, but I wasn't the first.

Mdrut, looks good. What kind of brush guard do you have on the front and where did you get it?

The grill guard is a "Hickey Hoop Guard"..made by Hooker...
I got it one e-bay about a year ago...Place called John Walls 4x4 out of TN...Also got my nerfs from him..He purchases discontinued items by the truck load, then sells them on e-bay and such..Cost me about $65 to my door...The Nerf's were the same way, $98 to my door..
Half my truck has been purchased on e-bay :)

Not bad at all.:D

looks good.. although I don't know that it's the most areodynamic ;)
Pete

Hey Pete, you should know as well as anyone, at this point...MPG don't mean a thing..lol
Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words

When I had a full roof on my X I had a 45x60 Surco rack and it rocked. Put a piece of metal slanted and the noise wasen't bad at all and MPG didn't get effect hardly. Tough stuff, carried all sorts of stuff in it.

I can't notice any noise from the rack, due to the tire roar...I got a set of clear corners today...Watch for update.

Got the Clear Corners on about a month ago, finally got off my duff and posted pics...All the wiring for the lights is complete and working well, had to relocate the outside 2 due to my banks low ATM overhang..
ALSO, adding 2 more inches of lift soon..Parts have shipped, watch for update.

im gonna go with the surco rack, but what size, i like the bigger look... i do have a moon/sunroof... whast the biggest size i should get

Mine is the smallest..40x50
You probally don't want to go any bigger then 45x50, unless hanging over the moonroof isn't a problem.
