Greetings all, I have a simple question I am trying to find out. I have a 2wd, Explorer, 98. I know someone with a 98 4wd. Will the rear springs and torsion bars swap over? My tbars, and leaf pack are sagged out and his are pretty good condition in his parts truck.

Yes, they should be interchangeable as long as they're both 4 doors, but I wouldn't go through all that work to install parts that are probably about as worn as your originals are.

What he said... Though the rear springs are not hard to swap.

A little more info might help, since you are new here and we don't know what problem this presents. Are you looking to take it offroad and/or put bigger tires on and find lack of clearance, or just trying to level the ride?

Was it previously carrying a lot of interior cargo? Front torsion bar sag beyond a point where the bars can't be adjusted up a little seems fairly uncommon. If you just want it level and don't have either off-road or cargo needs then you might be able to just swap the left spring with the right and even it out by adjusting the front.

This may not be what you need to do but you posted no context of why these changes are needed. With stock suspension parts and stock tire size, there's usually more than enough clearance to level it up using what you have for on-road use.
