How do I know if my suspention has been monkeyed around with? I want to do the Tortion Twist but I can't tell if someone has already twisted ½" or 1" already. You see the thing sits jacked up in the front just a little but it came with those 29" so if they did mess around with it, it did no good. Do those things come from the factory already sitting up in the front just a little bit? Or do they come sitting pretty close to level? Or are my eyes just decieving me? Also one reason I ask is because it looks like one of the bolts has a lot of twist left in it and the other hardly any at all. Can those bolts be changed out and not totally mess up how the thing sits? Like maybe a longer one for the one that looks like it hasn't much left in it or is that pretty well the way they come? Does a little go a long way as far as how far you have to twist those things to lift it any at all or does one or two turns go pretty far?

Its not uncommon for an Explorer to have butt sag, especially the sports. My friends Explorer has one torsion bar bolt in the entire way and the other about half way. Its just how its adjusted from the factory. If you want to lift it, you will have to reindex the end of the torsion bar(I do believe thats what its called).

How do I...

¿How do I reindex the torsion bars? What does that mean exactly. I want to get the full 2" but not one bit more than the 2". I want to know that my tires (if I get 32's or 33's will fit) and that I am not stressing my CV joints. Do you get what I am saying? I don't know if the thing has been monkeyed with or not. I would hate to lower it level. Then lift it 2" and think I am lifting it 2" when all I am doing is lifting it 1" or ½" from where it was set by the factory. ¿Is it possible to get longer screws or am I just screwed when it comes to doing the torsion twist? I DON'T WANT TO EVEN COME CLOSE TO BOTTOMING OUT MY TORSION BARS. EVEN IF IT MEANS I CAN'T DO 2". That is to say. If I gain the 2", and one side is bottomed out, will the springing action of the torsion bar on that side also be bottomed out? That is to say if I gain the 2" and the one side's screw is bottomed out ¿will I then loose all my downward travel on that side?
