Hey man, welcome.

Your transfer case electronic shift or manual?

If its E-shift... There is a red/white wire at the trans that needs to be grounded when the trans is in neutral.

It goes to the electronic shift control module

I jumpered the wire in the range sensor connector on my 97. It took a while to find the right one

Hey thanks i have the push button t case it really needs to be swapped to a manual t case but I haven't found one yet.. Thanks for the help! I jumped two wires off the five prong plug down on the auto wiring to get it to start so grounding the whole thing would make sense..

Or you can have shift-on-the-fly low range like me!!

I'm so terrified I'm going to hit the low range button one of these days. Why must they be so close together!!

This does work though when you do the swap.

Got it it was the red and white wire thanks again!! Now I just need to figure out how to get a picture of it on here

I actually tested it too see if it would shift into low on the fly, (around 10 MPH) yes it will. (I've got spare T-cases. :D) You still have to be on the brakes for it to shift, so I'm not worried.
