swapping a 4r55e to 5r55e

hi everybody got a question do you think i can swap a 97 4.0 5r55e trans in to my 96 4.0 ohv 4r55e. i was thinking that if i swap the bell housing that it might work. what do you think?

Some people have done this, and it worked. You might have to transfer electrical components if you have problems.

The range sensor, EPC & TCC solenoids.

if there is anybody from this forum that has done this swap could you please let me know if you have had any problems or if you have had no problems. all your infomation is greatly appreciated. i'm just trying to get every thing correct the first time.
