great news... i am running the iOS 6 beta on my iPhone 4 and email/text notifications sound thru the speakers while using sirius radio.

Also, sync now reads my facebook alerts that pop up on my phone as well as text messages!

this is amazing!!

Just trying to figure this out.......Do you have "Personal Hotspot" turned on?

Is your iPhone providing Data connection through MFT HotSpot with PAN connection?

OK I just confirmed the text to speech is working with iOS6.

I used my daughters iPhone 4 (Not 4s) and it worked so it's my phone apparently

I haven't had success yet with phone contact pics but testing continues..........

Does iOS6 support full phone book access and caller ID, more specifically photos?

vince, on mine it has not pulled the photos from my phone book, the names are pulled over for phone calls (just like iOS 5 with MFT) but they are not pulling over for messages for me. So my dash will say text message from unknown or no name... something like that.

After restoring the iPhone4 with iOS6 Beta 1 and re-pairing with MFT I can now use all the MFT messaging functionality that was not available before but no text to speech on incoming text messages yet.

Incoming text works fine with kids iPhone4 while connected to MFT......

Only difference is mine is 16GB model and kids is 32GB.

Before anyone suggests it, I already tried to swing a trade and that wasn't well received.

Running ios6 beta also....iPhone 4S

I receive text messages throug MFT now, but no audible alert through MFT and no speech to text, even when selected. It will read the text, but only if I select it to do so. Also, all incoming text messages say they are from "unknown" even if the number is in the MFT phone book.

When trying to send a text, it says that the message was sent successfully, but the text is not received by the other party and it does not show on the phone either, MFT just says message sent successfully. This is using their preset message responses. But again, nothing is received by the other party.

I still get no photos through MFT for either phone calls or text messages.

What are the voice commands for using messaging through MFT? I figured out how to get it to read the incoming text, but can not get it to reply or send a text through voice commands. Have to wait to come to a stop to do it from the touch screen.

When you get a message and want to reply to it, just say "Reply to Message" and you can step through the process.

That would be nice if Ford added support for Siri with Sync. I assume Ford isn't on the list of supported automakers mainly due to Sync being made by Microsoft.

What kind of notification do you receive from MFT when a new message is received?

No matter what "message" profile I select through MFT, such as alert 1, 2, 3, text to speech, etc., I get no audible or anything. All I receive is a message on the right hand cluster saying new message and I can select to listen or ignore.

Nothing pops up on the main MFT screen and no audible anything....and every message still shows as its from "unknown" even though their number is in the MFT phonebook.....

I get the stock tone (one of the 3 Alert tones) that I selected. I tested all 3 and they work fine.

I then get the pop up window on the main 8in MFT touch screen that says "New Message From..........But like you, its blank and when the MFT audible voice says "Incoming text message from......it is also blank.

Pop Up Window has the 4 options to: Dial, View, Ignore, Listen. then it goes away after approx 5 seconds.

On the right hand screen of the steering wheel smaller screens I get the same two options as you "Listen or Ignore"

If I hit listen it plays the message exactly.

Again above the two options it says "Unknown Caller"

Got some text message alerts and listened to them. Happened to be ESPN updates for game between Miami Marlins and Boston Red Sox. Pretty cool to choose whether to listen or ignore. Will play with it more in the next couple of days. Waiting for July 3rd incentives, but may take delivery before then. It is killing me to wait..... Awesome small ride tonight on a dealer plate. Bonding time....

iOS6 Beta 2 is out today.

Its Over The Air update so its done right on the phone if your running Beta 1

Taking delivery tomorrow! Looks like no additional incentives in sight until August (maybe another $500, but not for sure). Initially got 2.89 percent financing, but ended up with 1.79 percent!
