Synthetic Question

I switched my Aerostar to Mobil 1 synthetic at 35 000K. 355 000 now - still running strong.
I switched my Explorer to Mobil 1 synthetic at 30 000K. 31 000 now - still running strong.

my F150 (5.4L supercharged) had 187K when I sold it making over 500hp to the wheels& 550ftlbs.

My wife's '04 Mountaineer (4.6L AWD) has 147k

Both have had FoMoCo 5-20 syn-blend & the 820s filter religiously.

I will say my wife's mountaineer, in the last 2 oil changed has developed a leak I cannot find. its oiling down the cross member, rack & pinion body & #2-#3 cross members. Today while she sat waiting for me to come out of the house (truck running) it pissed a puddle... Oil pressure is fine, oil level was a tad low. Really bizarre. almost like the anti-surge back valve was forcing oil past the seal.

I've never had a oil or oil filter related problem with FoMoCo.

my local parts stores only stock Syn-blend or Syn in 5w-20 & the FoMoCo blend is a better value.
