System off to save battery

It can cause the ECU, Infotainment systems and most anything else to burp especially if there are swings in voltages or spikes. Electronics don't react too well to bouncing power.

So will the battery be causing all the issues with the heat coming on and no way to turn it off? My screen has been going haywire too.
I am having the same issue. We have replaced the APIM module worked for 2 weeks maybe and it did the same thing, Just went and replaced the battery yesterday and it did nothing still the same problem. Still looking for a solution in this hot weather. Seems like a safety concern that the heat cracks up and no way to shut it off in the summer :(

Welcome to the Forum.
Were there any codes pulled? I don't think the APIM would cause the HVAC system to crank up the heat. I believe that would possibly be another type of control module.

What control could it be. Mine is doing the same thing and the battery is less than a year old.

Could the HVAC module also cause the system to drain the battery and shut off all the touch screen systems. It gives the system to save battery message, then shuts off. It will the start to blow the hot air.

I don't know for sure but I'd think not. The reason the system shuts off is probably due to the low battery condition. That may also explain why the A/C is shut down to preserve what battery power is left. If there are no existing answers in this thread and if no one else has any ideas, perhaps a visit to the dealer or independent garage is in order.

Thank you.

The touch panel that controls the heat below the infotainment system is known to bug out. Its capacitive touch sensors go bad and can turn things on and off randomly. Ford changed this on 2016+ to physical buttons because of this.
