t case swap

hi i need a little help i have a 01 sport and my t case is bad so i want to go with a manual one so what do i need and which one fits the 5r55e and is there a tread on doing the swap??? thanks justin

You need a 1354 manual. Bolts right up linkage and all and use a front shaft from a 97 sport. I had one in my 01 then sold it. Its for sale again by the owner i think 150 for all.

The output on the 98 and newer transfercases, for the front differential, is a 6 bolt 'cup'that has a CV joint that bolts in to it. 96 and 97 trucks used the double cardan style shaft, wich has a u-joint at the transfercase end. That's what you need to bolt it up.
