I got pulled over because both my tail lights where out.

What fuse should I check for those? If that is fine and the bulbs are fine, which I suspect they are, what could be other causes they are not working?

My dash lights are out as well as the bell that dings when your lights are on. Are the tail lights not working related to why those two are not working?

Brake lights yes, turn signals yes, 1996.

try replacing the bulbs first.
I am using led's, because they never burn out, avoiding the embarrasment.
I've noticed them at walmart in the clearance aisle for 5bux
try fuse #25, 7.5 A it goes to GEM and instr. cluster
fuse 11 is light switch, instr cluster
fuse15 instr cluster
fuse 27, 15a instr.illum. GEM
under hood there is another power box with fuses
#4 20a is lightswitch and instrument cluster.
hope this helps

Replaced the bulbs, still don't work.

Checked all fuses on the left hand side of the dash and under the hood, they are all fine.

I only have a few days left to fix the problem before I get fined a lot of $$$.

Wow, it sounds like a wiring problem.
Do you have the Lights out module?
Is there a towing package, harness hooked up?
Could it be in the light switch itself?
imma look for a diagram and post it

No tail lights, no cluster lights, no bell when the headlights are still on when the truck is off.

It was indeed the light switch. Thank you very much for all your help!!!!!!

those light out module are crap mine burnt twice in the same week and the previous owner had high watt bulbs everywhere and removed them all i got the truck with no lights...put all regular bulbs in the truck and after a few weeks the lamp out module burned out.....very easy to fix...getting it out it harder than the fix i found the solution on here....regardless if you have this and its bad take it out and take it apart...its real clear to see whats burnt.....solder the burnt points back together and it should work.....if you don't have that then all this was for nothing....good luck...i know it sucks to be stuck with a broken truck
