Hey everyone. I am getting ready to open the tailgate mat / interior cover. I see that it is held on with three screws and a handful of plastic rivets. Are those rivets durable enough I can reuse them? Or are they like most plastic rivets and garbage after you remove them the first time? Would like to go ahead and order some new ones if they are going to break when I pop them off. Thanks

I had mine off and reused them. If it's cold, I would warm them up before removal.

Thanks eppd00. What did you use to pop them out? Flat head screw driver?

yes, very carefully so you don't mar the cover etc.

FYI, most auto parts stores have a "Dorman" or similar selection of these plastic rivits. If you've ever owned a Nissan or Infiniti, they are nearly completely held together with these things. They are cheap enough to not worry if you break them. Usually about .50 each or so, pack of 6 about $3. Just take a broken one in and get the right size, they are plastic so 'close enough' works too.
