taking out my AC unit

first off, my ac unit does not work, this is the only reason i am considering taking it out.

two questions, 1. will this give me any better horsepower? and 2. if i am not mistaken, i would have to find a fanbelt that would fit, where could i look for one of these? an X without AC? a ranger without AC? need help on this one


oh yeah, also, would there be anything hard to disconnect that i'd have trouble with?
 






There is no point in removing the compressor unless your goin to replace it at the same time. It will yeild no horse power gains.



Also why not fix your current ac? There's Is no "don't work" when it comes to auto acs.
 






Turning the A/C pully uses at most 3hp when not engaged. Spend your money elsewhere for power gains like intake, exhaust or fix your broken A/C.
