I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. I was just wondering what is a normal operating temp for a 92 explorer. On a warm day 80-90 with my A/c running my temp gauge has crept up all the way to the L. Is this normal (it was hilly....Connecticut). I am only worried because I recently blew my head gasket. I got it fixed along with a new t-stat and fan clutch, but I am still really wary of the engine temp. So, basically I just want to know if I can expect it to run pretty hot under these conditions or if something still might be wrong. Thanks.

Sounds to me like you're running toooo hot.

I just changed out my thermostat (195 degrees), anti-freeze, and sender unit.........the gauge reads between N and o.

Aloha, Mark

You can't go by the temp gauge. There are many things that make in inaccurate. You need to actually test the coolant for temp.
