Temp gauge

My temp gauge on the dash for the engine will rise and lower slightly sometimes. The vehicle is running fine. Is it just a stuck thermostat?

Most likely it's a sticking thermostat. I replaced mine last year after the gauge would peak at HIGH after warm-up and then finally settle where it should be normally.

Mine kind of floats around and below where it normally is.

it might be a sticking thermostat or it might be the gauge sender starting to go
