yeah i had a meter put on the gauge and it would move and i had the engine rebiult just 3 weeks ago so i think it might be that but still before it still never went past the n . no it dosent blow hott hott heat . just warm. espiacially on cold days it takes forever to get heat

your last post was the dead giveaway. It's your Thermostat. You have said you replaced it many times? A couple of things to look for . Get a 195 deg., Make sure you get a 'gasket' (actually an O-Ring), Make sure you position the TStat properly (something about a pin hole on the 'umbrella' has to be pointed in the top position?, check the Haynes on this). When finished, make sure you 'burp' your system (Add AFreeze to open Rad, start and let truck idle for a good while until the TStat opens, keep filling until all air is out of the system and is full, replace rad cap) The above procedures have never failed me, and with an Explorer and a Ranger I have done this more times than I care to admit.

Hey Kps

I also run a 195 deg thermostat I put it in duing the winter .... is that gonna cause my vehicle to run really hot duing the summer should I switch back to the 180 degree for summer. I live in Minnesota... where it is damn cold in the winter but in the summer I usually drive to Arkansas where its hotter than hell. I dont want my car to over heat

Tell me what you think

Thanks

Naw, should be okay, It has been for over a year here in NC and several trip to FL in July-Aug. Never had a problem, even when the AC worked (doesn't now). Adding a 195deg also added 2-3mpg so it seems the computer really likes that range.
you'll be good to go.

Thanks brotha,

do you have any pics of your explorer, Im looking at the waag brush guards, what did you pay for yours

I am also looking at that exact roof rack, are you happy with it does it rattle at all

Ryan1

The brush guard is real solid, bolts up to frame, they even included the extended bolts. I scratched up the powder coat i little during bolt tighting, a little bottle of rustoleum solves that. Real durable and resists scracthes well. Even has 2 mounts for lite (Hella 500s). The Surco rack is great, but The screws and bolt are all stainless (not black like the rest). I will switch them out soon with black bolts. Good quailty there too, only problem is everything else (lite mounts, spare carrier, hi-lift holder ) are all sold separatly. Solid !
I got no pics yet, I will have early summer after I have the door re-skined, painted, WAR153 shackles and TTwist done and CLEAN IT ! (it's a mud dog right now)
OH
Brush guard = $216
Surco rack = @230
I got good deals on both here in Charlotte at Accessory World.

216 for the brush guard .... thats a great price thats like almost 200 dollars lower than the books .... lemme know if you can get any more deals on those brush guards.

but I think you got taken on that roof rack they sell for 183 on explorer express

Thanks

Sorry bout that, I had some other things listed on that reciept. The Surco rack was $165.
I don't know if Accessory World is a national outfit with website or what. They do have a catalog and i'll check.
Yeah I thought that was a very good deal on the brush guard. It was in a plain brown box, with no identification or markings. I couldn't even tell it was a Waag until I looked at the instrction sheet.
maybe that's why it was cheap.

Even if its not Wasg ... I bet it still looks good

Do you think you could get me their number, the parts store that is
