Well, the welds on the perches broke (have since been rewelded), and the axle twisted, binding the ujoint at the rear end, and also bent the ears on the driveshaft. So I think I'm going to have ujoints replaced on both shafts, and possibly have to have a new rear shaft made. I'm runnin low on time, grr. Enough of my problems, I'm excited about this trip. Thanks for the offer too

BTW, what is the expected fuel consumption over the course of the drive? my truck gets terrible fuel economy in 4 low, but will I really run thru half a tank from the nearest fuel station to the end of the road?
