Well, the welds on the perches broke (have since been rewelded), and the axle twisted, binding the ujoint at the rear end, and also bent the ears on the driveshaft. So I think I'm going to have ujoints replaced on both shafts, and possibly have to have a new rear shaft made. I'm runnin low on time, grr. Enough of my problems, I'm excited about this trip. Thanks for the offer too

BTW, what is the expected fuel consumption over the course of the drive? my truck gets terrible fuel economy in 4 low, but will I really run thru half a tank from the nearest fuel station to the end of the road?

I thought aout this too as I get horrible fuel consumption in 4lo and I don't have 4hi.
I would belive if we filled up, there will be no problems, but I'm going to bring 5 gallons just incase.

Maximum tide heigth is 1.3 feet, and that's all during the evening.

Pier and beam tents recommended. lol

Someday... It was rated to ford 30" deep water with no mods, but my wiring and vent systems are probably not up to the task as they are today. It also has a max speed of 50 mph, and it is not much fun to drive at that speed, for now.....

A maximum of 1.4 feet does not sound that bad, depending on how much beach there is left....

So um... Zav I cracked my head the other day... How do you feel about engine work. LOL j/k Well I didn't crack the head, but its my problem now. I don't know maybe I will make the trip because for some reason that cracked head is giving me time to work on alot of things and a couple mods so maybe you'll see me there.
