Hello everyone!

Hopefully y'all can help me. Long story short girlfriend got mad, slammed my door and the door trim piece broke right off. Now I have a ghetto looking interior:thumbdwn: This is the XLT trim and I went to Ford to try and get the piece and they do not have it. They said to fix that you have to get the whole door panel..that they do not even have in stock anymore they discontinued them. So anyone have a good idea? Pics below thanks guys!

HAHAHA...it sounds like it was YOUR fault!!!!!!!

go to the yunkyard, and grab the pieces you need....wtf???

:salute:

if you do go to a junkyard for it, you will probably need to find new clips, looks liek the old ones actually broke right off so it coudl likely happenthe same way trying to get a piece off of a JY donor. either be real careful when trying to get a donor piece off or see if ford can at least sell you similar clips..

Haha I guess it was my fault! But yeah I guess a junkyard would be the best place. But all the junkyards around here are crappy.. Old ass cars but thanks guys!

I just used silicone adhesive and glued mine back on....

There are a few people parting out explorers here on the forum. Look in the for sale section. You can also check craigslist for people parting out explorers there. I bet you can get that trim piece for five bucks. In the meantime, you can try super gluing them back together and then giving them a spray clearcoat with some Krylon for plastic before gluing it back on. That's what I'd do.

That's a good idea, ill get some super glue and let y'all know how it works!

First thin I would do is dump your GF then go to the wrecker and get the full door panel that piece attaches from the inside and will crack when you go to remove it...
good luck...
