The Total for The Speakers and the Cd Deck with 4 Year Warrantys on both was 365.00. Some Might think I spent too much. But you cant go wrong with the warrantys from Best Buy. I am gonna install the rear speakers and I am gonna pay Best Buy to install the Cd Deck. My Girlfriend has a 2003 Honda Civic EX Coupe. I just dont wanna break or screw up anything.

Now tell us the truth, was that really a gift for her or just a gift for you thats gonna go in her car???

Watch out the Best Buy idiots fubared my girlfriends aftermarket radio when they put it into here 88 mustang I would never go to them again. I had my buddy redo it and he was amazed at how many things they ####ed up on when installing it. Hope all is well tho maybe it was just the store I went too. Nice deck also I wanted that but went with the one I have now instead.

you can go wrong with their warranty-

they screw stuff up, it takes them months sometimes to "send stuff out" to get it fixed, they will do anything not to have to fix something (ie- you connect your ipod to that stereo with an fm modulator and they try to say you voided the warranty by messing with it)

good luck my friend! many people go their and get lucky too.

Shhhh, It is a gift for me in her car. Dont tell her though.

I look at it this way, if best buy messes up the install they will be redoing it. I also think its better to buy a extra waranty then not have one at all. After having the trouble with my sony deck with no extra waranty. I dont need that headache. Maybe you guys read that lovely thread I posted in here.

expo is right the best buy warrenty on pioneer decks suck it takes 6 weeks to send out the deck and then when your sick of it busting you have to send it in 4 times and on the 5th they will replace it

they tryed to charge me 200 bucks to put in a head unit, i said screw that, and put it in my self with a 9 dollar din installation kit and a 6 dollar wiring harness from walmart, and made the din removal tools (that are "vital" for the job) out of a coat hanger. 15 bucks.

id try and find one of those run down audio shops, they do the best work.

The Audio Shops do the best work. There is one in my town and I get everything done by them from Lighting to Audio to Electronics. Best Buy is just a bunch of kids that might have a slight idea of what they are doing.

plus best buy wont solder their connections when they install stuff. Im a huge fan of soldering every wire when doing a radio or alarm or any wiring on a vehicle for that matter.

Mechanic021, sadly not many stereo shops do, crimp connectors are widley used in the industry.

Some/most Best Buy/circuit City install guys can handle head units and speaker no problem.

I personally have never had anybody else install any audio equipment ever :) Even when it's free with purchase! I have re-done PLENTY of "professionally" installed systems though :) hahaha

i bought a TV at best buy a month later the sound stopped working i took it back they said it will be 4 weeks till i got it back i offered to pay the 200 bucks for the next model up. they refused i buy everything from sears or online now

I would never let them install anything in any of my vehicles. if I can't do it then it doesn't need to be in there. Would I buy stuff from them? hell yeah, In the past year we have spent about $3000 with them on appliances and home elctronics and bought the warranties with everything. Had one kenwood home theater receiver replaced by them so far under their warranty not Kenwood's. After it came back from service for the second time and still did not work they said this is how much you paid and you can use that towards any receiver you want.

When I was dating my wife, I desided I wanted a new stereo for my truck, so I went out and bought one. The old one I took out was one of the old sony's when sony still made good stuff (Late 90's). My pre-wife had a escort that was a few years old, and she wanted to play cd's in it. So I took my old sony and stuck it in there. She was a happy girl. Then some ^^&*( broke into her car and stole it. I did't have a detachable face so it was a easy target.
