The continuing saga of the third-gen body lift.

Hello again everyone. I went to the RV/truck show here in Denver last weekend and found a 4x4 shop booth. The two guys there said that Ford took out one of its body mounts on the third gen (I assume this means one was left out of the design.) and that Ford said it wasn't considered safe to lift a 3rd gen. However, they said to lift a 3rd gen body I would have to make the missing mount, then get a Ranger body lift of the same year and it would fit. Has anyone heard of this missing mount? Does it sound plausible that a Ranger kit would fit the Explorer?

If they had a missing mount, then they probably put something in its place. If there is nothing there, just an empty hole, it could end up being dangerous.
