Once its been totalled by the insurance company, if you were to remove anything like a stereo, you would have to replace it or accept a lower value for the vehicle for such items removed.

I want to seriously deck my jeep friend. All hes done is bash the explorer and laughed that it landed on its roof, he actualy called his dad (another jeep ass hole) (no offense if you own a jeep, but most jeep owners i met are pretty stuck up) and said, guess what, it rolled. You probuble should be glad she was driving your X, from the look of the wreck, it could have turned out uglier in another type of vehicle.

Your mom is not replaceable...but there are many other X's out there to replace yours with.

My mom died a very early age, be glad you still have yours.

found out what she actualy hit.. She was in the left lane going the speed limit (45), had it, floored it, swerved right, clipped a camry, hopped a curb, went through a construction fence, hit a light pole, got air and bounced off a full construction dumpster... My jaw just dropped when i read that.... shes really lucky!

I know it's kinda late, but why not part it out a bit before you junk it. You might be able to sell the engine for a swap if it's still ok.

Im working out a deal with this guy. I cant afford a new explorer yet, so im buying a really nice, cheap SHO. Hes on the forums and ive meet him before, so hes gonna see it to me for like 1500 plus the motor for his t-bird.. What im thinking is bring it to a sotrage place, tarp it up (so its not an "eye sore") and part it out slowly..theres no good outside parts just because she hit soo much there are scratches EVERYWHERE, but the interior is in GREAT shape. Plus its got TMA speakers, dyno matting and a few other stuff. The leather is in great shape, and if i can get the alarm system out somehow its a remote start im sure i could sell.

You know, have your mom check her insurance. I know that my insurance will cover me if I drive someone's car IF they don't have insurance. In this case, where all you had was liability, your insurance would cover damage to the Camry, etc., but my insurance would cover your vehicle. I would check into that. But you won't get much for a 97. But it's more than you're getting now I guess.

Man, I'm sure glad your mom is ok. I guess she needs to look at maybe not driving anymore where she has seizures, huh? She could have killed a child, etc. Thank God everyone made it through it. Losing your mom would be horrible.

+i agree.. Yea, she hasnt driven since. Her doctor said it was ok soo, she drove.. as for the insurance, im under her policy because im still living in her house!! (17 years old) so yea. SOL!
